About Dr. Peter Greco

Approach

Dr. Peter Greco approaches treatment with an individualized effort to address every patient's dental health, esthetic and functional needs. His approach is simple: he treats every patient as he would want to be treated. He applies decades of experience and knowledge to achieve the most optimal result possible.

Credentials

Dr. Peter Greco brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his role as the Clinical Professor and Co-Clinical Director at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. With over three decades of service at the institution, he has contributed significantly to orthodontic education and research. He is a respected author and lecturer, having published numerous articles and textbooks in the field of orthodontics. Additionally, Dr. Greco is actively involved in professional organizations such as the American Board of Orthodontics, where he has served as President and Director, and the American Association of Orthodontists. Dr. Greco has written almost 200 articles and editorials pertaining to ethics in orthodontics and clinical practice. He was the 2024 recipient of the Albert H. Ketcham Award given by the American board of orthodontics for significant contributions to the orthodontic specialty. This is a lifetime achievement award given once annually since 1937.

In his private practice, Dr. Greco serves as the attending orthodontist at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and is an Adjunct Instructor at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He also teaches at Einstein Medical Center’s Department of Orthodontics. His dedication to ethical practice is evident through his role as Associate Editor of The American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics (AJODO) and his monthly column addressing ethical issues in orthodontics. With a focus on excellence and integrity, Dr. Greco continues to provide exceptional orthodontic care to patients in Center City, Philadelphia, and Ardmore, Pennsylvania.

Outside the Office

When he’s not transforming smiles, Dr. Greco enjoys reading, writing, kayaking, and spending quality time with his family. He likes to travel with his wife and play with his puppy Meli.

About Dr. Alexandra Greco

Approach

Dr. Alexandra prioritizes patient comfort and experience with a beautiful, functional outcome. She combines the latest technologies with fundamental modalities that have all been proven with orthodontic research. Dr. Alexandra is Invisalign certified and can work with any type of treatment to suit a patient’s needs. She practices with the philosophy that orthodontic treatment should be fun, pleasant and comfortable and provide ideal esthetics and improvement to a patients overall dental health!

Credentials

Dr. Alexandra began her academic journey at the Agnes Irwin School, followed by Georgetown University, where she pursued a BA in French with a pre-dental focus. She then earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. Returning to her hometown of Philadelphia, she specialized in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Alexandra has conducted research in both dental and medical disciplines. Her leadership skills were recognized with appointments as a student senator representing the School of Dental Medicine at Columbia University and receiving the Campbell Award for student leadership. Dr. Alexandra underwent comprehensive training at the University of Pennsylvania in diverse orthodontic therapies, including traditional correction methods, Invisalign® treatment, and advanced imaging techniques. She also gained invaluable experience in craniofacial orthodontics through a rotation at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, collaborating with medical specialists to address complex facial abnormalities.

Outside the Office

When Dr. Alexandra isn’t helping patients achieve their dream smiles, she enjoys running along the Schuylkill River Trail, cooking classic recipes from tattered family cookbooks and new-wave food blogs, and spending time with her husband, friends and family. During the summer, her favorite place to be is on the beach at Cape May with her family and friends. Dr. Alexandra enjoys giving back to her community and loves Center City living and running into her patients outside of the office!
